Graduate Study
Contact Dr. Allen Fromherz or the relevant faculty member for more information about graduate programs. We are also currently developing a Global Studies Master’s Degree with a concentration in Middle East Studies.
The Middle East Studies Center does not currently offer a graduate degree. Other departments at Georgia State University do offer graduate degrees in related disciplines. Prospective graduate students can pursue a PhD or Master’s degree in the areas of our center affiliates, some of which include funding. These departments are:
- Applied Linguistics
- Robinson College of Business
- Communication
- English (Comparative Literature)
- History
- Political Science
- Religious Studies
- Women’s Studies
The MESC also has a graduate student organization, the Council for Middle East Graduate Studies. The organization builds links between graduate students from departments around the university whose research interests include the Middle East.
