MESC Theme

The Middle East Studies Center Theme for 2015-2017 is “Middle East Mosaics: Diversity in the Islamic World.”

Our speakers and events will focus on the experience of religious, ethnic, and gender minorities in the Middle East. Our first keynote address on this theme will be by Scott Siraj Kugle on Islam and Homosexuality: The LGBT Muslim Experience. Future events will focus on other minority experiences.
